The Wine Celebration

Goricë e Vogël, Prespë, 5 December 2014. In the frame of promoting Protected Areas and their touristic values related to nature and local products, the Network on Nature Protection and local organization Green&Clean, which is actually part of this network, in collaboration also with local institutions, organized in 5^-th December in Gorice, the Wine Celebration.

Celebration of this local ritual actually has turned into a traditional celebration in Prespa Area, which is developed in two recent years with the financial support of SENiOR-A program, and assistance of REC Albania. This activity is organized to promote through civil society organizations and to bring attention of tourists and local authority, cultural values and most of all natural ones of the area of tourism development. Present in this activity was the Head of Commune, Perfect of Korça Region, representatives of REC Albania, of civil society organizations, Prespa Park administrate, farmers and students of the area.

The celebration started with the traditional dancers and painting exhibition “Prespa ime” from students of the area in Park Administrate. The most important part of the activity was wine competition and local products fair. The new wine produced by local producers of the area and the surrounding areas, was brought to be evaluated by a jury of 7 people (civil society organizations, local authority, community, park administrate). For the best wines are given also prices.
