The Third SEA-Med regional training

On 10 -15 May is organized the third regional meeting in Kas-Kekova, Turkey in the framework of the regional project "Sustainable economic activities in Marine Protected Areas in the Mediterranean". The training was organized by WWF-SEA-Med and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administrations) with the participation of four member countries of this regional initiative (Algeria, Croatia, Turkey and Albania).
The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss the progress of the project and drafting the Susutainable Touirstic Management Plan of Karaburun-Sazan in assistance of American conservation experts and marketing expert. The group from Albania who represented different institutions and interest groups, by working in groups, developed the main lines of the plan on the basis of national institucional strategies. Part of this training was a site visit in the Marine Protected Area of Kas-Kekova, Turkey, which is famous of the precious natural and cultural heritage and an important touristic destination as well.
