Wild fauna monitoring system; NAPA - WiMS

November 2017 - Prespa, Pogradec, Shkodra - In the framework of the CSBL Project financed by GIZ (Project of three Lakes), a group of experts are working on setting up a monitoring platform for selected species ofwild fauna for the three lakes: Prespa, Ohrid, and Shkodra. INCA has been involved in conducting a training process with the respective RAPA staffs on the application of the monitoring platform.

Two-day trainings were conducted in November with rangers from Prespa National Park, Pagradec's Protected Water-Land Landscape, and Natural Reserve of Lake Shkodra. The training program assisted the RAPA staffs to plan and carry out the monitoring process through the establishment and functioning of monitoring patrols as well as in the data input to the NAPA-WiMS. It combined the theoretical knowledge with practical applications in the protected area.
