The “Refuse, Reuse, Recycle” campaign kicked off in Elbasan!

Following the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between Elbasan Municipality and INCA, previously approved by the Municipal Council, a broad awareness campaign against single‑use plastics was launched with the participation of 20 schools across the city.

Students shared powerful messages for environmental protection through drawings, essays, and creative work, while schools were awarded prizes and certificates for their engagement.

The campaign was carried out in synergy with other initiatives of Elbasan Municipality, such as the plastic caps recycling action, creating a chain of concrete measures that strengthen the city’s commitment to:

- reducing single‑use plastics,

- improving waste separation and management,

- offering sustainable alternatives in schools and institutions.

As part of the BeMed+ project, students received branded cloth bags and water flasks — practical steps towards replacing single‑use plastics.

The campaign’s message remains clear: “Nothing ends here – we all commit together to changing behavior towards single‑use plastics, at school, at home, and in our community.”
