A joint commitment for a plastic‑free Elbasan!

On June 5th, World Environment Day, Elbasan Municipality and INCA signed a Cooperation Agreement to reduce plastic pollution, previously approved by the Municipal Council.

The purpose of the agreement is to:

- reduce the use of single‑use plastics,

- improve waste separation and management,

- raise community awareness on environmental protection,

- strengthen collaboration between institutions, schools, and civil society.

This commitment is part of the regional project BeMed+ – Committing to a Mediterranean without Plastic, placing Elbasan at the heart of local actions with global impact.

The agreement is not just a document, but a roadmap for a cleaner city and a greener future.
