Reflecting on a remarkable year!

 

The IUCN World Commission of Protected Areas (WCPA) efforts in area-based conservation spanned from Antarctica to the Amazon, tackling challenges with urgency and celebrating achievements. With the 30x30 goal in sight, its focus remains on strengthening protected area systems, exploring OECMs, and advancing both quality and quantity in conservation networks. Collaboration with Indigenous Peoples, local communities, governments, and global organizations has fueled impactful partnerships and innovative solutions.
