Empowering CSO to Promote Nature Conservation in Albania

National Park Shebenik-Jabllanicë - 20/062018 – The Institute for Nature Conservation in Albania has initiated a tour of introduction meetings among local representatives and civil society at the National Park Shebenik Jablanica. The tour has been organized under the project "Empowering Civil Society Organizations to Promote Nature Conservation in Albania", supported by EU IPA Program, "Civil Society and Media 2016-2017”. The purpose of the meetings was to identify key local actors among community and civil society in this area, socialize with each-other, as well as discuss the active advocacy role of the Environment CSOs and related networks in the implementation of legislation, the fight against corruption and how to minimize the negative impacts on the management of natural resources and protected areas.
