Training for Shepherds in the Kala e Doda Area – For a Sustainable Mountain Pasture Future!

 

Within the framework of the project "Sustainable Grazing for the Preservation of Vital Grasslands Ecosystems", on 11.09.2025 a dedicated training was held for shepherds in the Kala e Doda area.

This training aims to empower the local community with practical and technical knowledge for sustainable pasture management, biodiversity conservation and ecological monitoring of ecosystems with high natural value. The participating shepherds had the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of specialists in the field, share their experiences and discuss solutions to daily challenges.

This initiative is an important step towards preserving natural heritage and improving livelihoods in mountainous areas.

The activity was developed in cooperation with local authorities and representatives of partner organizations, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in natural resource management.
