Sustaining rural communities and their Traditional Landscapes

In the frame of the project “Sustaining rural communities and their Traditional Landscapes through strengthening environmental governance in trans-boundary protected areas of the Dinaric Arc”, INCA was contracted by SNV to organised 4 training workshops under the program for raising awareness and create a better understand of environment and biodiversity issue by the community of Bjeshket e Namuna area.

The four focal groups were identified (Forest, private sector, women and teachers) participate in separate training workshop and several information materials were distributes, held in Bajza (Malesia e Madhe) on 9 march, and in Bajram Curri (Tropoja) during 26-27 March. About 75 persons participate and their active involvement facilitates the activities of the workshop. The activities were based on the existing structure and network in the area as the Local Action Group (LAG), as well as on the previous experience of INCA in awareness campaign, but particularly on the study for the biodiversity assessment made in the frame of the same project and producing the basic database and maps of the nature value in the project area.
