Integrated Water Resources Management

On January 31st, INCA organized a meeting of national and international experts working for the development of an Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) plan for the Buna/Bojana Delta on the basis of the guidelines of the Water Framework Directive (WFD - Annex VII), in the framework of the “Strategic Partnership for the Mediterranean Sea Large Marine Ecosystem”.

Representatives of the Global Water Partnership Mediterranean Office (GWP-MED), the Priority Action Program office (PAP/RAC) of the UNEP Mediterranean Action Program, and the UNESCO International Hydrological Programme (UNESCO-IHP) and INCA, as well as local exerts met to discuss issues regarding the data collection, identification of pressures and measures to be taken within the integrated management plan.
